What’s one more dispensary?
Riding home from breakfast this morning, we saw some work being done to the old florist building on the northwest corner of Valmont and 28th — specifically, 3005 28th Street. We popped over to ask what would be going in and the fellas said they weren’t sure, but they thought it was a medical marijuana dispensary. Plenty of them around the neighborhood already, but that would seem to be the highest profile location for a dispensary in the area if true.
Here’s all I could find with a quick and dirty search — as usual, the Camera’s biz data listings come up useful:
PMT2011-00246;3005 28th St.; $52,000; Jack Pease; Buffalo Enterprises Inc.;Tenant remodel for creation of 921.75 square feet of business/office space and 1,052.25 square feet of mercantile in former Flowerama building. Includes electrical, mechanical and plumbing (two new sinks).
Because of that — and the fact that this week is one of the bigger weeks for such businesses — I went ahead and put together a resource page on the local dispensaries.

There is now a brick red awning that says "The Station". A good generic business name.

Ha! I'm so curious now!
June 17th, 2011 at 2:44 pm
Me too! No information from internet searches, "Station" is just too common of a word.

Yesterday afternoon I investigated a banner hanging on the south side of the building. One end of it had come detatched. Looks like it will be a pot dispensary. Alas, I was hoping there would be something handier (to me) there.

Good blog, just looking about some blogs, seems a fairly good platform you are using. I’m presently making use of WordPress for several of my sites but looking to change 1 of them above to a platform comparable to yours as a trial run. Anything in specific you’d recommend about it?
