Digital panhandling: Social help for Elmer’s Twomile

Monday, July 4th, 2011

Hey, folks — as I get fired up again to find all the news that’s fit to blog, I’ve got a favor to ask of you. Let your neighbors and friends in the neighborhood know about this blog!

One thing you can do to help spread the word (and hopefully make this a richer source of information with news tips and so on) is to like the blog on Facebook — and give us a +1 (Google’s version of a “Like” — very useful especially with search results, so other neighbors can find us).

So here are a couple of things to click that’ll take care of all of it nice ‘n’ quick:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, neighbors!

(In nerdy fun, if you you’re looking at this post on Thanksgiving itself, you’re probably getting a site badge.)

It’s been nice watching the area slowly get winterized — as opposed to last year’s instant winter (just add blizzard).

North Boulder neighborhoods list

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

When I first got here, I found it weird that my little part of town didn’t have a name that people agreed on. Guess I still do.

Some folks call it “north-central Boulder,” and there are a lot of neighborhoods that make it up. I’ve compiled a list of Boulder neighborhoods nearby — and a list of condo complexes and their general vicinities so when someone tells you, “I live at Willow Springs,” you can come on over and look it up. Because this part of town has a higher population density than a lot of other parts, that actually happens pretty often!

If your HOA or condo/apartment complex in this neighborhood has a website or an online group, let me know and I’ll post it.

Back for more.

This little project didn’t quite fit in where I tried it before, so I’m just going to keep it here on my own little corner of the Web.

I know more and more people moving to our neighborhood and figured it would make sense to put up the resource pages once more. The focus has shifted slightly and I won’t be obsessing over it like I did for that one glorious month before.

But RC did just get me a digital camera for my birthday, so I hope to put more photos on this incarnation of the site.
