Dave Burdick is an internet addict steeped in journalism culture.

In addition to being the founding editor of HuffPost Green, Dave spent his time at HuffPost cultivating the site’s first serious Twitter account — his own, for which he won TreeHugger.com’s “Best Tweeter” award for 2008. Dave has since served as features editor for the Camera in Boulder, Colo., and as editor of the Colorado Daily, also in Boulder. In both jobs, he has helped Prairie Mountain Publishing expand its social media footprint, particularly in crisis reporting. In his free time, Dave experiments with social media tools and writes digital media tutorials for journalists.

Dave was educated at Emerson College and the Journalism School at Columbia University. His parents are retired newspaper journalists and his wife is a freelance journalist and Dave’s brewing partner.

Dave has lived in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Florida and New York, has been to 38 states, and would love to get to the remaining 12 as soon as possible.
