I’ve got a bunch of tips and tricks here for digital tools — some of which need updating, I know — but in searching through old drafts, I found a great set of tips for dealing with perhaps the most difficult journalism necessity: The editor.

This advice is specifically for freelancers. The freelance life can be tricky because you’re out there in a vacuum and even less likely to get feedback — positive or negative — than a full-time journo in the office.

Adam Sternbergh, New York Times Magazine culture editor, offered a lot of freelance journalism wisdom on Twitter nearly a year ago and I’ve been meaning to post it for a long time.
